Alabama Team Ministers Tornado Victims

Recently a team returned from Florala, Alabama.  This team focused on a construction project to help those who were impacted by Tornadoes this past year.  Here is an update from Sonja the team leader:

We had an amazing trip to Florala!  Serving our Lord in this capacity had truly been rewarding.  We had one gentleman come work on the building who lives in the community. He lost his job and this group was able to witness to him and show him the love of Christ!  He had hocked his tools and some men went and bought them back for him.  A love offering was also taken up for this man so he can get his life back on track.  Now we, along with Westside Baptist Church, are praying for him, his young wife, and two children.  We also had an opportunity to see a baptism while we were there.  A young man gave his life to Christ and was baptized by his grandfather!  God certainly showed up in Florala!

If you are interested in going to help Disaster Relief victims in Alabama another trip will be leaving June 10-16.  They will be going to Hackleburg, AL to help build a new church that was destroyed by a tornado.  For more information contact Sonja Scales at sonja.scales@crye-leike.com.
