African Leadership is a non-profit organization that was founded in the year 2000 and based in Tennessee. This organization has a vision to train African pastors so that they can then lead and serve the need of their communities.
African Leadership is committed in developing local projects that will identify the needs of their communities and take action to the appropriate response on meeting those needs. There are 5 focus areas in which the organization responds too: clean water, education, women at risk, HIV/AIDS & healthcare, and orphan care.
Malawi is one of the countries the organization is reaching out to help. It is one of the lease developed and most densely populated countries in the world. One of the challenges for Malawi is the ever growing orphan population. Kauma and Lizulu are two schools where half the students are orphans which have lost parent to HIV and AIDS. These students will be taught the essentials of surviving, caring for themselves and be given a proper education to become leaders who will then go out into their communities and return the education and support needed for a thriving community.
